Mabel

 

 

Mabel's home is brutally and unexpectedly destroyed. Lost, terrified and alone on a dark rainy evening on the Plymouth docks, Mabel is befriended by a French seaman. Robert takes her aboard his ship, bound for the northern coast of France. Mabel and her friends soon discover a terrible plot to deprive Morgane, Robert's grand-mother, of her beautiful stone house on the edge of the sea. Gravestone, a corrupt and unscrupulous builder, is ready to persecute and blackmail anyone who stands in his way. But the friends put their heads and hearts together to save Morgane's home.

Although she has been adopted into the loving community of Roscoff, Mabel both misses and worries about her family.

Will she ever be able to find them again and return to England?
