Two shipwrecked boys are captured by soldiers of fortune on the coast of Guatemala. While the authorities pursue them, the boys encounter danger in many different forms. Near Quezaltenango, a region known for its many volcanoes, forests and mysteries, the boys learn the value of life and family. They also come to better understand the hopes and concerns of the generous people of Guatemala.
