Geneviève Blouin
Born in 1982, Geneviève Blouin has a Master’s degree in ancient history. She is also a black belt in taekwondo. She was a teacher, before becoming a legal assistant. She started her career as an author by publishing short stories in such magazines as Alibis, Solaris, XYZ and Brins d’éternité. Her stories have received many literary distinctions, including the Alibis award and the Aurora-Boréal award. She was also a finalist in the Radio-Canada award. Her style is very recognizable, with her fast-paced writing, and her brief but powerful descriptions. This novel is the sequel to Hanaken, La lignée du Sabre and L’ombre du daimyô a very powerful series.
