— Euh, bien… je cherche mon devoir. Il est à coup sûr dans mon sac.
— Et tu le cherches dans ta boîte à lunch ?
— Bien oui, au cas où papa l’y aurait mis. Il est toujours dans la lune.
Je ne comprends pas pourquoi mon fichu devoir n’est pas là.
Madame Viviane approche ses grosses lunettes de mon visage.
— Ah ! dis-je, je sais ! Il était au chalet.
— À ton chalet ?
— Oui. Il faisait très froid, hier matin. Mamie a démarré le feu.
— Le feu ?
— Oui. Avec du papier.
— Es-tu en train de me dire, Théo Paquin, que ta mamie a allumé le feu avec ton devoir ?
— Euh, bien… je cherche mon devoir. Il est à coup sûr dans mon sac.
